This tool replaces MerCruiser p/n 91- 818162.
It is used to drive the aluminum expander ring inside of the back of the u-joint bellows on 1991 & newer Generation II drives and 1988 & newer Bravo and Blackhawk outdrives.

Glue is not used to install this end of the bellows, just soapy water. Glue is used to install the forward end of this bellows.

This tool is made out of aluminum and comes with the driver rod and does not require the use of an alignment tool.

It does not come with the boot or aluminum drive sleeve shown in the photo.

This tool has a 1.015 diameter thru hole which fits over the small end of an engine alignment tool to press the sleeve in.

U-Joint Bellows Sleeve Removal Tool

This tool is MerCruiser p/n 91- 818169T. It is used to remove the aluminum expander ring inside of the back of the u-joint bellows on 1991 & newer Generation II drives and 1988 & newer Bravo and Blackhawk outdrives.

To use this tool, you turn it sideways and slide it thru the aluminum expander sleeve with the 2 flats on the tool being parallel to the sleeve. Once it is behind the sleeve. you turn it 90 degrees and thread your slide hammer or a long 5/8-18 threaded bolt into the tool and tap the sleeve out.
