Drive Shaft Adaptor Tools

Pre-Alpha & Alpha

These tools are used to provide a wrench surface to turn the vertical drive shaft located in the lower unit on all #1 MerCruiser drives including Pre-Alpha “R”, Alpha One “MR”, and Generation II outdrives.

The 13 tooth tool is MerCruiser # 91- 56775.

NOTE ! These 2 tools will not fit TR, TRS or Bravo.

NOTE ! The 8 tooth tool is used on older MerCruiser drives and many newer Mercury outboard motors 150 hp and up. ( Count the teeth on your shaft )

Bravo I & II

This is MerCruiser # 91- 61077. It is used to provide a wrench surface to turn the vertical drive shaft located in the lower unit on Bravo I & II outdrives.

It will also fit the propeller shaft on Bravo I, Pre-Alpha, Alpha, Generation II and TRS.

TR & TRS

This is MerCruiser # 91- 63620A1. It is used to provide a wrench surface to turn the vertical drive shafts located in both the upper and lower housings on TR & TRS outdrives.

The T-Handle wrench is used to turn the serrated nut in the upper housing while setting the bearing pre-load on the vertical upper drive shaft.
