Gen II Water Pump Guide Pins
This is
MerCruiser p/n 91- 821571A1. These guide pins are used during the reassembly of the
water pump. After placing the gaskets, wear plate and impeller in the
lower unit, these pins are then screwed into (2) of the water pump mounting
holes and are used to guide the upper stainless steel housing down onto the
mounting surface.
Always remember
to put some grease inside of the upper housing and to turn the vertical drive
shaft clock-wise when lowering the housing down onto the mounting surface. This
will put the correct bend on the impeller.

( old # 32-814384 ). It supplies water from the water pump in the lower unit to
the upper housing.

pump and guides the water supply tube ( shown above ) into the top of the water
pump housing. It will fit all Alpha One / Generation II drives made from 1992 to
