Gimbal Bearing Replacement

Before 1984 MerCruiser installed all gimbal bearings with these 2 small cut-outs facing outwards. If you can see these 2 small cut-outs from the back of your boat, proceed with replacement procedure

After 1984 MerCruiser started installing these bearings backwards. If you cannot see these 2 small cut-outs from the back of your boat, proceed with replacement procedure
