Pre-Alpha & Alpha Pinion Shimming Tool

This is MerCruiser p/n 91- 56048T. It is used along with a .025 feeler gauge to set the correct height of the pinion gear in the lower housing on all MerCruiser #1 "R" Pre-Alpha, Alpha One "MR", and Generation II outdrives.

You can check the height of the pinion gear in the lower housing without removing the prop shaft with this tool.
