This is MerCruiser # 69622A7. It is used on 1965 - 1990 Pre-Alpha and Alpha drives. It mounts inside of the boat on the transom. It comes with a template which shows the location for drilling the hole for the oil supply hose. The plastic bottle shown will hold an additional 32 oz. of outdrive oil should the drive require it.

This kit comes directly from MerCruiser.

Outdrive

This is MerCruiser p/n 22-98278 adaptor fitting.

This fitting threads into the top vent hole of the outdrive and connects to the flex oil hose going to the reservoir bottle.

Round Bottle Only

This is MerCruiser #69622A12 bottle assembly.

Please note, the round bottle which was used on Generation II and Bravo drive units p/n 19743A4 is no longer available. It has been superceded to the square bottle & bracket kit shown below.

This bottle is :

8 inches tall

3 1/2 inches diameter in the center

2 1/4 inch opening in the top

5/8 hole in the bottom with a 1 1/8 hex fitting

Hex fitting has (2) 1/8 pipe tapped holes

Comes with cap for top

Square Bottle
Complete Kit

This is MerCruiser # 806193A49. It mounts inside of the boat. It comes with the low oil level sender switch, mounting bracket, rubber hold down strap, hoses, fittings, dribble valve and instructions to convert 1991 - 1995 Gen II drives which came from the factory without the reservoir installed.

To install this kit, you must have the 1/2 hole located in the bell housing for the dribble valve.

Bell Hsg. Dribble Valve

This is MerCruiser # 18920A1. It is pressed into the bell housing on Generation II and Bravo drives. It is spring loaded and stops the oil from leaking out of the reservoir when the drive is removed. When the drive is installed, it pushes on the spring loaded ball which is pressed into the top of the outdrive.

On 1991 thru 1995 model Gen II drives, the hole must be in the bell housing to use this valve.

Gen II & Bravo Oil Hose

This is Quicksilver # 32-19409 71 gear oil reservoir hose. It is 54 inches long and used on all Bravo and on 1991 - Date Alpha One/Generation II drives which have a gear oil bottle inside of the boat.

This hose is used both inside and outside of the boat by cutting it to length.
