Bravo nut is 4 inch in diameter and will not fit Pre-Alpha or Alpha.

Item # 3. Retainer Washer
This is
MerCruiser p/n 35983 retainer washer. It is used on Pre-Alpha, Alpha One &
Generation II drives made from 1965 - Date. It fits between the 3 7/8 retainer
nut and oil seal carrier. The raised edge pushes against the 3 7/8 diameter
o-ring to seal the gear oil from leaking around the outside.

This is
MerCruiser p/n 25- 70937 o-ring. It is 3 7/8 inch O.D. and is used on Pre-Alpha, Alpha One &

pressed into ( Item # 5. ) the oil seal carrier assembly.

is 2 1/4 inches

way you can get the aluminum carrier is with the seal installed.
