1965 - 1975 Gimbal Ring

This is MerCruiser # 87356A1. It will only fit 1965 - 1975 drives which have pull hinge pins. You cannot use the newer style gimbal ring in place of this one because of the distance in-between the 2 ears on this gimbal ring is 7 1/16 wide.

All gimbal rings come directly from MerCruiser. This ring comes with (2) 5/8 pull hinge pins and (2) nails. It also has the needle bearings installed in the bottom.

Note ! The trim limit switch which is located on the top, in front of the upper swivel shaft, is no longer available from MerCruiser.

Discontinued - Upper Shaft

This is MerCruiser # 32582 upper swivel shaft. It will only fit 1965 - 1975 gimbal rings which have pull hinge pins ( shown above ).

This shaft cannot be removed from the gimbal housing until the (1) cross bolt is removed from the steering arm and the (1) 5/16 - 18 Allen head cross bolt is removed from the starboard side of the gimbal ring.
