Gimbal Bearing Snap Ring Pliers

This is MerCruiser p/n 91- 37240A1 gimbal bearing snap ring pliers. They are 15 inches long and are used to remove the 4 1/2 inch diameter snap ring which was use from 1968 to approximately 1972 to hold the gimbal bearing in place. With this tool you can remove the snap ring without removing the bell housing.

Once the snap ring is removed, it does not need to be replaced if your replacing the gimbal bearing with the new style gimbal bearing which uses a collapsible tolerance ring to hold it in place.

These pliers come with 1 pair of points.
