Gimbal Bearing Grease Packing Tool

This tool is designed for boats made before 1973 which have no way of loading the gimbal bearing with grease. It will fit all gimbal bearings which are 2.834 inches in diameter and have a tiny hole in the side of the bearing for grease. It will not work on very old bearings which are larger in diameter and fit inside of a plastic housing held in place with a large snap ring.

The bearing must be turned side ways to remove it from the boat. After filling and replacing the bearing it must be lined up with an alignment tool so the drive will go back on.
